I believe in the government. I believe the government is the people, a psudeo-social contract. Anarchy is the absence of authority, of government. Unless modern anarchy is different I don't find it realistic, no.
Why have you been seduced by the anarchy side? Why is it attractive to you, or is it?
I wouldn't say I've been seduced no, I don't really align myself with any particular party or belief in any one system whether it be democrat, republican, anarchist etc. I've just been reading stuff on it and I was curious as to why you didn't see it as a functioning system. William Godwin has some pretty interesting views on it that I've enjoyed reading.
However I do have to say I don't beleive in the government. Just because its all that's 'worked' (one can argue that) so far doesn't mean its the best system out there.
I'm confused by what you mean by 'modern anarchy?'
Well I get what you're saying in that you don't believe any one answer is the best way. Modern anarchy, as opposed to anarchy in the generic sense of no government, no central authority; basically 'modern' 'current' anarchy movement. Its all the same really. Well maybe I should read Godwin, broaden my horizons. However, I do believe the government being the collective us can do a lot more than individuals or small groups...all of bad too, but I'm an idealist.

I don't know, he's got a point. Although he does sound a bit commie, though not Marxist.

Anarchism promotes living as a community as well, why is it unattractive to you? Do you just not find it realistic enough to ever actually happen?
