LOL! i love my job! but its definitely have disturbing side effects on my psyche. whoo! like last night, i pretended my leather purse was a small dead body as i read the woman warrior, which is pretty disturbing as well. then i couldnt sleep well b/c i was afraid. today is going to be so much fun! 14 rat sacrifices. you can tell b/c we're playing

lol, it does have that, "this feels wrong, omg!" feel to everything i see. but you have to strangle that feeling and make your sickened grimaces when no one is looking. and you have to pretend you're interested in some piece of equipment whenever something horrifying is happening and avert your gaze.

like how after they take all the measurements and readings needed and take the sleepy-head rat cutie off the isoflurane and it wakes up, still drugged, to realize it's cut open and its organs are bare and spilling from its body cavity. like how scary would that be! you're asleep one second, then you wake up and boom! someone cut you open and someone is going to snip your heart out, piece by piece as your blood pools onto the tray. yes, i imagine myself in the rat's place all the time. it's not fun.
