Service Pack 2?

Oh, one other thing before I go to bed; I'm installing the Windows XP service pack on my new computer, and I've heard bad things about it from other sources. Have any of you installed it, and if so, what are your opinons? Is it as bad as I've heard it is? I hope it doesn't muck up my computer, I'd scream if I had to lose all my files AGAIN. I never

I had SP2 on my Dell when it came out and it fucked around with something (I think my router?) and made me keep loosing my internet connection. Other than that, it didn't hurt anything, although I did uninstall it when I realized that was the source of the problem :D

I think it has to do with your computer. Both mine are less than 3 years old and XP was the original operating system. My parents computer was older (98-99) and was made with ME. When I installed it the first time it messed stuff up so I uninstalled and reinstalled and everything worked fine.

If you're running home edition (which you 99% are) and install the service pack you will have zero problems. I have it installed on my laptop and nothing went bat shit crazy, so you'll be fine. Thanks for asking :P
