I've got a lump of a cat, and would freely recommend any of the above save for Hearts at Stake because it was dreadful. It made the list, though, because I did complete it.
If these turn out to be useful, I may post more book-lists. The tastes are generally eclectic but recent focus has been on spec-fic again.
Reading wise I am firmly entrenched in fantasy pasts... just finished Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell again, and am now making my way through the Tales of the Malazan Book of the Fallen, which a friend bought for me almost ten years ago and I'm finally finding again.
Strange & Norrell is one of very few I couldn't actually get into. I owe it to the book to try again, but probably not until August. I hit a wall with it that might even be thicker than the bricks I slammed into with William Gibson and Mona Lisa Overdrive.
You would love most of these. So much goodness. I can lend some of them, but some were borrowed and others have already been passed on. There will be more recs, as I am still reading at a fiendish rate.
