please allow for some fashion-squee.
monday was pretty spectacular. i got to participate in my first-ever fashion photo-shoot. i got dressed and painted for Gloomth and tried not to be too awkward in front of the camera. so. much. fun.

thursday, the pinkmoose and i plodded our way up to the room to interact with wearable art. we fawned over and ( Read more... )

i can't get over the third dress down. it's like betty draper meets david bowie. i would just wear it every day for the rest of my life.

piggy paint looks cute, although i have yet to find a single nailpolish EVER that doesn't just flake right off my strangely non-porous fingernails. too bad, as "dragon tears" looks like an everyday colour to me.

if i can go on a coffee date with you, you can bring anyone you like! ;) now, to find a way to get there on time...

They're all SO pretty. I'm torn between the flame-coloured one and Carey Mulligan's version of same. I saw both, as well as that third violet one. Of course, saw = picked up, turned over, price-checked and delicately returned to rack.

Piggypaint was pretty sticky, but who knows if it'll work. I seem to recall that particular problem, even with my favourite clear polish that suspended holographic glitter chips. I wore "angel kisses" and felt strange in pink.

I will make sure a coffee date can be arranged next time I'm westward bound. Then we'll both be there on time! :)

oh, and for the record... i saw one photo from that set, you were tagged in it on facebook... i could have stared for hours. not that i don't already think you're one of the most gorgeous creatures i've ever laid eyes on, but that photo was staggering, and could not possibly be of an actual human being. only faerietale creatures are THAT alluring. just sayin'... your cover is blown. :P

oh but the marabou gives it that necessary Barbarella feel that it otherwise lacks. *grins* Second one down is mine ( ... )

*giggles* Second one is especially pretty, but I loveloveLOVE the flame-coloured dress at the bottom.

If I wasn't quite so shocked, I would have cut him off and was angry with myself for not doing so. He decided he did want to purchase something and acted like it was a huge favour the whole time. My assistant was terribly sleep deprived and only noticed the pleasant tone he was using. In future altercations, he gets no further than the front door and I have permission to phone the authorities to deal with him.

The soy-beeswax crayons would be Clementine's. They do crayon rocks, too. I love how bright and smooth they are. We also received the startling Piggy plate with the melty patches. Quick trick: Acetone and polystyrene are never friends. I wore it all day at the show and did some heavy schlepping of boxes at the end. It chipped a little, but I also didn't have time to heat-set it.

Aw, thanks! It has been mostly-win.

I admit that I am more excited about the actress in the first photo than the dress itself: HOLY CRAP CAREY MULLIGAN! ♥ ♥ ♥ Doctor Who season 3! Never Let Me Go.

But the star dresses are pretty too.

I want to see YOU in pretty things. Will there be pictures to share?

Have already shared my distaste about the scum who smeared your Saturday - won't go into it again here. Let it be known that you are D, you are lovely and the fellow was scum. ♥

Confession: I have just returned home from the first three episodes of Torchwood. Like X Files, but with snappier dialogue.

The nebula dresses are pretty cool... but a couple of shots of me are at the bottom of the page I linked to. The rest are here.

I'll see to it that things don't get so out of hand again. ♥

It sure is! She's looking a little sulky. It's a pity, there are lots of US who'd be delighted to be wearing such pretty things.
