don't be insulted by this suggestion: McDonald's. I had a friend who worked there through college and by the end of it she had a management position (i don't know what level), and they paid her tuition on top of her salary. I know you don't love the fast food industry, but I don't think it's as bad as Thrifty sounds.

You also might want to see if you could get a regular thing going tutoring (think high school kids with parents who want them to pass/get into good college, etc.), it pays well (I think $15/hr is considered reasonable for private tutoring). You won't work many hours, so I'm not sure it's viable as your only thing. But it might be worth considering.

Yeah, I think I saw a movie about our lives. I think it was called NINETEEN EIGHTY-TWO.

So while our young talent goes to waste, I suggest you call Starbucks and tell them how much you want to work for them. I bitch about it, but I'm still glad as hell to have cheap health insurance and, you know, a job. That was a good store. You need to call them...before they give your American Dream to somebody else.
