I was researching green cleaning suggestions recently.

This website suggests using hydrogen peroxide in the wash to whiten laundry in place of bleach. Or putting lemon juice in the wash and then drying clothes outside (There seems to be some reaction involving lemon juice + sunlight. I have seen this combination suggested as a way to put highlights

Possibly the lemon juice and/or the peroxide is very dilute.

A bunch of other green websites say you can do Lemon Juice + H202 to whiten clothes without a warning like that...
Maybe over time and frequent use of this combination will weaken the cloth?
