Readers, my apologies... I guess the election results are of course at the forefront of my thoughts.  They're all over the spectrum, hence the cut.

I know that the world isn't going to end since Bush won.  And that's the most positive thing I'm gonna say.  Because, well, I'm hopeful, and shit.  Even given that tho, the next 4 years feel...bleak.  Like the positive potential of the U.S.  has just been dimmed.  Is it the occupying action taking place in Iraq and Afghanistan?  Is it the flippent attitude taken by Bush towards foreign powers who don't bow to the will and policies of the United States?  Is it the ineffectiveness that America's dometic policies has had on helping the American people?  I guess in total it's all of it, in addition to the often-quoted statement you hear at elections, More Of The Same.  Indeed, it's more of the same - more American troops dying in Iraq.  More of those oppressed raising arms against us because of the action we're taking towards them.  More of them becoming more organized.  Bush may have created a greater threat of terrorism by his actions.  But would Kerry have done any differently?  Potentially, yes, but true enough, we won't know.  It's gone from a potential to a hypothetical.  The one thing I can say is that perhaps the foreign powers of the world would have seen America differently with a new leader.  Differently, however, could be good or bad.

I no longer feel like I'm on the right side anymore.  America's not an evil nation, but we're sure screwing things up.  Our politics and our President just aren't... right.  How did Bush get the popular vote?  I am puzzled and intrigued by the voter mindset.  From all the maps, Bush took a lot of rural voters.  Its easily possible him being a Southerner was the reason.  And it's hard for someone in the South to vote for someone from the North, like Kerry so obviously is.  This election may just expose to us a lot of paradigms that we need to shift regarding voting and equal representation of the people.  I certainly have my eyes on this now.  Agh, too many things on mind.

Was Bush really the right choice?  Well, I voted my opinion.  It, apparenty, wasn't shared by enough people to make a difference.

I stayed up til 2 watching CNN's coverage.  They had some good tools this time around.  And they fixed a lot of problems from last time as well.  But with the results as they were, I felt no motivation to getting out of bed this morning.  I knew the outcome, and just wanted to hide from them.

The Rebels had some of their shit right.  From here on out, I stand with Luke Skywalker.  When do I get issued an X-Wing and a blaster rifle?  Anyone want to help me form the Rebel party?
