Work is fun

120+ hours of work in 12 consecutive days.

Datacenter planning, tear-down, relocation, and build-up, all in under a week.

A headache that continues through it all.

Welcome to Dot-com 2.0!  Sure feels a LOT like 1.0...

work, unstoppable

I'm just looking forward to 3.0, and IPv8, and whatever else they decide to do that is going to make my life a "Oh, I get to redo what now, again?!"

It's a good reason to invest in jumbo bottles of Excedrin. :p

I own stock in Excedrin! These weeks its the only thing that cuts through the pain and allows me to work.

Definately need some detox time after this is done.

And ye Gods, IPv6...yes, that Pain is hitting in 6 months, which will be another crazy time for us all.

I'm in the process. :p

IPv4 to IPv4/IPv6 on one network, RIP to BGP/RIP, new router hardware, and a whole lot of "Ok, what now?"

This is the first entry I've seen from you in years, I think.

How are you?

You should hear the locations the CEO wants to put our new datacenters....Trying to explain to him that saving 6million in power costs will not offset that 120M in bandwidth infrastructure buildout is for some reason not possible.

Holy cow, you just beat a friend I know who worked around 100+ hours in one week! Sure, you did yours in 12 days, but who cares, you're a hero. Something like that. I hope you don't go insane.
