I've been grinning just that little bit wider with every post I see with this news. *GRINS*

*g* I found out yesterday actually, when I was at the library in uni. I let out such a loud squeal of delight - got weird looks from a few meters away. ;)

It's wonderful. Makes my Tolkien fangirl heart very happy. Mark Gatiss tweeted to reassure everyone that it wouldn't change the Sherlock schedule. That made me even happier.

I saw that!!!! That was so nice of him. :D

I want to rewatch the LOTR movies now. I haven't seen them for over four years!

It was nice of him. I was just saying yesterday that the news makes me want to re-watch LOTR, but finding the time is a bit tricky.

I was thinking of holding some kind of LOTR rewatch in lieu of Sherlock on telly, but I don't know if I'll have the time until after my exams in November.

He's played Arthur Dent and Doctor John Watson, and now he's playing Bilbo Baggins...Martin Freeman is living the dream.

He's already short too, so hobbiting him shouldn't be too hard. Not like some of the dwarves.

I know gosh! So many iconic characters. Now we just need him on Doctor Who... perhaps as the companion of Benedict's doctor? XD

I'm looking forward to seeing Richard Armitage as Thorin. XD

I actually flailed when I saw the news. I'm so glad I was alone because I must have looked like I was having some sort of seizure. :D

Lol I would've done that if I was at home. I tend to bounce around the house like Tigger as a way of celebrating exciting news XD
