That's always how it feels. I have 10 minutes left sitting at my desk..doing nothing...well updating. Then Mike and I are off to The Olive Garden. At least that's the plan. Want to do an early dinner so we can watch the World Series. Damn that was the longest game EVER last night! I started watching it at home, drove to Where Else? watched ( Read more... )

The rivalry is based on the fact that Cubs fans are open minded and have the ability to come back from the horrible tricks that fate plays on them. Sox fans are pathetic mullet haired, wife beating, fuckheads that can't even win a world series without commenting about the Cubs. Yeah, they won the series, but every Sox fan I know can only say one thing, "Fuck the Cubs". It's disgustingly pathetic that despite winning their first series since 1917 all they can muster is an obsession with what Cubs fans think about them. Hey South Side assholes, news flash, us Cubs fans don't even fucking care! Way to go winning the World Series that no one watched or cared about. When the Cubs win it, the entire world will erupt in a celebration and the 2005 Sox won't even be a faint memory!

Yes, it was an insult to Sox fans, I'll freely admit that. I framed that comment without giving context, and that's my fault. The whole playoffs were a hard thing for me, especially because I have had a lot of interaction with very nasty, negative Sox fans. I found that the majority of the time, instead of being happy with what was happening for them, they wanted to lash out and rub it in the face of the guy wearing the Cubs hat. I can't respect that and so I gave it right back, as evidenced in my post. And really, I understand the whole Chicago argument. You know, we should all be happy that a Chicago team won it and all that. But, to me it's like finding out that your biggest rival just married your girlfriend. I hope that helps to clarify some things said in anger. Oh yeah, hi Katie!
