I can't stand many of the students at EL. Seriously. During the Katrina assembly, holy cow. At first the chatter didn't bother me, everyone was excited because of the parade (which was not the best idea considering it got kids to be too peppy). I don't think I've ever been so angy for so long. I'm not even close to being over what happened. So many people being disrespectful at one time is powerful. It's insane how rude and inconsiderate people can be. The maturity level between freshmen and seniors couldn't have been more apparent than it was today. I hope it's one of those things where they look back and are embarrassed and ashamed for the way they acted. And it's sad because you know for most, that will never happen. I would have loved to see Nate beat the crap out of that kid. And wow...don't be chicken shit, get up and leave if you don't want to be there, like he said. I'm seriously over high school. People need to grow up.

Did they mention in the speech about how George Dubya ignored the situation untill people were drowning and starving and screaming on rooftops.
you taking note on these kids, makes me really believe that our nation is doomed.
we are doomed, because the majority of "us" are close-minded, or just too dumb to open their eyes and their minds.

so um.

do you know the kid who yelled that out?

because.

i'm pretty sure if i set his house on fire,
and his family died in the flames...

he'd react a little differently to disaster relief assemblys.

Everything I wanted to say has already been said. Ignore those who waste their breath saying hateful and dissrespectful things and applaud those who really do care and are doing something about it.

WOW that sounds like a fortune cookie saying. :)
