Yep--only person I can speak for! Though I guess I could talk about what my peers were into at the time, but not with any degree of knowledge as I didn't have much interest in many of them.

I had initially gone to the academic extreme and anticipated a discussion of women writers who were formative for an entire genre, the way Mary Shelley could be said to have been formative for science fiction or perhaps for Gothic horror. Which of course is an entirely different question.

That is indeed a different question. And one that could be tackled, as in those days there was comparatively little published.
