This will be boring because we all are living it, but I'm hoping that this period will become history soon enough that it will stick out in my mind later on

That's great about the dealership managing to set things up so their people have work.
We've had good service from the Toyota dealership in Riverside. We went there and had comprehensive work done on our Rav4 shortly before the move, and the peace of mind was well worth it
We got through the move, we're in an apartment in Lawrence, and we just now got functioning broadband. But it was an adventure (meaning a source of life stress). We had five different problems between departure and this morning.
And a sixth is still ongoing: We discarded our more beat up furniture, planning to replace it at this end, but currently no furniture stores are willing to bring things inside, and we're not physically up to hauling furniture around ourselves, so we won't be fully furnished till regular commerce returns. Nearly all our fiction is still in boxes . . .
That's excellent! I'm glad that they're finding ways to adapt. I hope that you and your family remain well. California has responded exceptionally well in the US. I have other friends living in that state, and it is a relief that they are there, rather than elsewhere.
A very old friend of mine and my family's (in every sense, he was 90) died in New York at the beginning of March. Of a stroke, and he was well taken care of in his last couple of days. We mourned him, and have now understood that he had a lucky escape.
It's good to hear that people are managing to adapt and stay in business...
My car's due its annual service & roadworthiness test, but I have no idea when the local family garage will be open again. The government here is allowing cars to be on the roads without a certificate for the time being.
