It feels like my only option is to go back to school. I keep getting rejected from the jobs I apply to because I don't have enough experience. I miss being a student and learning and I'd like to go back to the academic lifestyle.
What I didn't consider is that there are so many different options. Master's or PhD? Would an MBA be more useful than something I'm actually interested in? Is it worth spending the money? If I went to OSU for undergrad, will they not want me back for grade? How many schools do you apply to? Is it worth it to take the GRE AND the GMAT? Will anyone remember me if I ask for a letter of recommendation?
I guess I was spoiled. I wanted to go to OSU, knew I would get in, and it was the only school I applied to. If I had unlimited funds and a choice, I would get a Master's in International Relations or Political Science with an International focus. The reason MBA crept in there recently is because of the potential of a degree in International Business. I also wonder if it's too early to request materials from universities to plan starting in Fall of 2011.
To lighten that up, here's a meme. Some of these are kinda oldschool - I was stretching.
1) Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/bands [fannish etc.] that you've had an obsessive fannish love or interest in at some time in your life.
2) Have your f-list guess your favourite character/member from each item.
3) When someone guesses correctly, strike through the item and put the name of your favorite character next to it.
