*resurfaces after months away from fandom*

Oh shit I have so much to catch up on, and the next PSA update is going to have to be HUGE.

HBP has made me realise how much I freaking love JKR's characters, and how much I love this fandom, the people, fiction and art. I hope to be more active from now on.

*nods* Oh, and I would NOT recommend checking your flist if you happen to know any H/Hr shippers. At least until it has calmed down. It's been a nightmare! They're all insane!

I did like this book, though. My opinion keeps changing, fandom does that. But my initial reaction was " Snapes not evil, H/D is practically canon, and H/G was rushed but eh- it's not all bad." And I think I'll be sticking to that.
Yay for new canon!

It's not really the fact that Remus is with Tonks that upsets me (although I really think his character is better suited for suffering nobly than for being happy), it's that in order for him to love someone like her, his characterization has to be completely different from what I always thought it was. I mean, she shrieks about their private affairs to a whole room full of people really tactlessly, and shakes him and stuff, and losers her powers over him, and I'm all "...dude, the Remus I thought I knew would NEVER go for someone like that!"

But then again, I'm a biased R/S shipper, so what do I know? At least if he had to be paired with a woman (still wish he were alone and ambiguous...) he's paired with the only woman in the whole series who can grow a dick. ;)!
