Honestly I thought River was going to kill Rory (Or the Doctor) in this episode, but if she's really Melody Pond then chances are we've already seen her kill the 'best man she knew', the doctor.
I kinda suspected something was up with the naming similarities between Amy and River... and at the beginning of the episode I sorta went 'Pond, Melody. River Song' to myself.
Rory was all kinds of badass in the beginning. I got shivers when he was all 'do you need me to repeat the question?' Though I spent some time before that pausing to go 'what? Whatty whatty what what?' over and over because it sounded like Amy was talking about the Doctor being Melody's Dad.
I still think it's Rory. They're overemphasizing how he's the "good man" &etc, and if she was talking about being in the space suit and shooting the doctor I can't see why he'd have made her promise to stay in the storm cage. He hates himself, so why condemn her for shooting him when he walked right into it? (And why would future clerics arrest her for a murder that happened in the 1960s?) That and she's still calling Amy and Rory by their first names even after she tells them she's their daughter-I don't think they're going to get to raise her.
This whole front to back thing is making my head hurt, honestly, but I'm less mad at the cliffhanger than I thought I'd be. Regenerating does solve the problem of how to de-age the actress as they go back, and opens up a shit ton of possibilities, I'm just reeling at how much of a train wreck this likely means the end of this season is going to be. I don't see how they can get Melody back without destroying her parents and have her still turn out to be River.
