my wife and i have pretty much been together the entire time we have been married. but she left to sea-town yesterday morning with our son and last night i stayed up until i was so tired that i could just pass out in bed because i didn't want to be alone with my thoughts. we have only been married 8 months and it is already like this

You're a good dad. :) Keep spending as much time with Mason as you can (not like anyone could stop you!). It's hard to find a balance between providing financially and providing emotionally, but I have no doubt that he will grow up knowing how much his parents love him. :)
