A couple of books...

I think I actually made these books more than two months ago, but I forgot to post pictures. Both covers are from my Monet calendar.

The first was made for a trade with rontti (by the way, you should check out her lovely handmade books!). I tried adding some beads to the binding but I didn't like the final effect very much- I'm not sure whether the

I haven't had much time for bookbinding myself, 'cause I've been so busy lately. But I still have 2 (!) Monet calendars to turn into books...

It's called coptic binding. You can find online tutorials here and here. And if you like handmade books, you should have a look at the community handmadebooks, there are many talented artists out there...
