Wow that looks gorgeous. I love colorful pages too.
I'm so scared to try this exposed spine binding... I think I wouldn't be able to make it sturdy enough. Yours looks great!

I think the sturdiness mostly depends on using a really strong thread. I bought a special thread for binding & you can really see the difference.
I will let you know whether the journal falls apart after one year of intensive writing & collage!

I have the instructions for the paper roses somewhere... I will scan them & send them to you tomorrow! I'm afraid they are in Italian, but they shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I think they're rather difficult to make though. I haven't tried it myself; I'm not good at origami.
