Dear NPT author
my note: I feel as though if I keep doing a few challenges I will be forced to continue to write, which is good for my own morale and my practice. I like all four fandoms I've offered and chosen here a whole hell of a lot, and a few of them aren't in yuletide anymore, which makes me happy.
Statement regarding requested characters: The characters I listed in my requests are the ones I like the best in that particular fandom, but you don't have to use all of them in your story if you don't want to. I am more than happy to read a story about just Arthur or just Athos or Rick or whatever. I just wanted the author to have choices.
General likes and dislikes that can be applied to all fandoms are:
* no incest fic
* no mPreg
* no non-con or torture (it can be alluded to, but I'm not a fan of details here)
* no gender switch
* not a fan of "coffee-shop" fics ie. AU. However, considering I've written a HUGE AU for King Arthur... I am fine with cannon-divergence.
* love details
* love missing scenes/day in the life
* love angst
* love smexing with a great storyline
* love man!pain
* men being men but being in love too
* strong women that can do for themselves but are willing to be vulnerable
* backstory
* I am okay with some fantasy elements where they normally wouldn't belong (ie vampires in the TWD-verse or something like that). And yes, I realize I just said no AU's. But...if it's supported enough, eh, IDK. I'm just not a fan of taking characters out of their element and removing what's special (like XMFC, ie taking Charles and Erik out of the mutant biz) about them in the first place
* I am mostly a slash writer (except in the few instances I mention below), so I usually like that type of relationship in fic the best. But I do love brotherly and family love and emotion as well
I am totally down with whatever rating. As I said I am a big fan of sex in fic and details IF it comes with a good story. I do like PWP but not for this challenge. I write everything from Gen to Explicit, so do what makes sense for your story.
Fandom 1:
King Arthur (2004)
My favorite and probably longest term running active fandom. The things I enjoy the most here are:
* Arthur/Lancelot (my OTP)
* Day in the life stories
* pre/during movie missing scenes
* angst h/c
* a tad bit of humor/lightness in the dark
* that being said, I love super dark fic too.
things I don't like:
* mPreg (YUCK)
* incest fic (that's not really possible here, but...)
* Arthur/Guinevere NOPE.
* torture/rape. I like dark!fic, and I do write a lot of the knights/Arthur with having abusive pasts a LOT of the time, but details aren't really necessary.
* crack
I am interested in all knights, but Arthur and Lancelot are the ones I write about and am fascinated to see other's takes on them. My second faves are Tristan and Dagonet.
Fandom 2:
Revolution (TV)
Like:
* Bass/Miles MILOE 4LIFE ;)
* Backstory, pre-show history, details of our characters dealing with the first day of the blackout, missing scenes, day in the life
* Charlie and Danny
* Maggie
* h/c, Miles and Bass angst, Miles comforting Bass in a Miles like way
Dislike:
* mPreg (I'll say it again)
* incest (no Charlie/Miles etc)
* Bass/Charlie
* anything much to do with Connor
* again, no major torture/rape stuff (it can fit in the backstory, but I'm not interested in details as that's a tad too disturbing)
* Aaron is not my favorite.
I LOVE Miles and Bass. I love their obviously unspoken relationship. I love their bickering. I love their tears and laughter and I hate that I got no closure on their friendship/love. My favorite episode is season 1, no. 10, and that flashback scene in the cemetery, ugh. All my love.
I love Charlie and Danny's brother sister vibe (NOT incest) and I loved the potential of Maggie.
Fandom 3:
The Musketeers (TV)
Like:
* ATHOS ALL THE TIME
* Aramis and Athos' relationship and how they are together.
* The bromance between the three guys
* Treville. :)
* Athos backstory, Athos man!pain, did I mention I like Athos?
* day in the life, missing scenes, between seasons
* I am okay with Milady, but I'm not really interested in seeing Athos fawn over her. I know they have a deep history, but seeing him kind of forgive her too quickly in season 2 bugged me. But! I know they have a huge amount of past, so....
* I do like the queen pretty well.
Dislike:
* yep, you guessed it, mPreg.
* This is one of the only fandoms I don't slash. I do like the brotherly love a LOT and tend to write Athos and Aramis as being pretty close, but I can't see them being intimate. YMMV.
* d'Artagnan and Constance. zzzzzzzzz
* Aramis' obsession with the baby. It's okay, but also not my favorite storyline.
* Rochefort. I guess I just dislike him because he's super creepy. But he can certainly be used.
* same thing here with all fandoms; I like dark!fic (especially when it comes to Athos) but no detailed horrorshow stuff.
Again, I am a sucker for character development, details, and missing scenes. I love Athos. I love Aramis too. I like backstory and emotions. I am not as a big a fan of huge amounts of French history.
Fandom 4:
The Walking Dead (TV)
I have been watching this show since the beginning. I love it like burning. I am mostly caught up on the comics as well if you need to veer into that territory.
like:
* Rick and Shane. Shane and Rick. I do slash these dudes. I also write their three way adoration of each other and Lori. I have only written one Rick/Shane/Lori piece and it was weird, but...I kind of look at them like Arthur and Lancelot and Guinevere (legend, not movie). They all love each other, but things can't be like that. However, I am more a Rick/Shane girl than all three most of the time.
* pre-apocalypse.
* missing scenes
* Shane before he went totally nuts, although missing scenes while this is happening are amazing.
* season two was my favorite.
* I love slow burn and character development and details.
*I like the potential Andrea had (that's why I included her here) but I don't like how she ended up being too whiny. Comic book Andrea is awesome.
* Daryl is dirty hot. I love Daryl man!pain too. Emotional.
* I do like Carl. I feel sorry for him, and have enjoyed watching his development.
* Carol is a BAMF, but why?? What happened to her so quickly?
dislikes:
* this show obviously is super dark and violent, and yeah, of course I can deal with that, but ... I don't like sexual violence and I don't like non-con stuff here. Anything can be alluded to, but no details please.
* guess what? No mPreg!

* I reallllllly don't think there's any character I can't stand, but my least favorites are Glenn and Maggie I guess. I don't dislike them by any means, but I am not as invested in them.
* the Governor. He is not done correctly on the show, and I still am not happy about that.
* not a fan of Daryl and Beth together.
I write mostly Shane and Rick. I have done a few Daryl pieces and Carol too (I'd like to see them together eventually, but I like the promise of things to come), but since I love missing scenes and pre-show stuff I love my Rick and Shane.
