You added a second part to your entry, making my thumbs up picture look out-of-place and callous! It was meant for the study abroad, which is cool, and not the leaving State College, which is an awful awful trend you people all seem to be picking up on. Thumbs down to that.
first of all: this must be a record. you have three icons, none of which are of you (one is arthur, one isn't me, and one is... i have no idea.)
now then.
does anyone else find it strange that, while i probably have the most desire to go to england, i am also the least likely to go there? this of course being mostly due to mom's "don't do anything that will increase yr tuition by a dollar, incl. taking extra semesters, living where you want, etc." rule. plus i don't think our fine communications program has anything to offer the film student, despite england's rich film heritage, of which i can only recall "the third man," "a clockwork orange," and monty python. and of course the whole airplane thing.
congratulations, dan. and enjoy england, though you'll pretty much be enjoying for two.
i didn't know there was a whole airplane thing with you. but i'm sure you'll get to england someday, if you really want to. maybe you'll even find a way to be there during the 70's.
incidentally, my third icon is the dancing girl i used to use.
as far as school goes, back within my first few days of being in state college, i stopped at the study abroad office in boucke and went through all kinds of stuff only to have my advisor tell me that there was nothing i could do for my major while studying abroad -- that it would just be waste. so i gave up, and it wasn't until last year that i researched for myself and realized that for many reasons, i should not listen to my advisor.
