Trickles of sweat glistened down his body as Daiki lays flat on the bed, eyes half closed as his breathing begins to get light. He watches the naked body beside him silently, watch him stares at the ceiling, watch him turns away and get off the bed, watch him pulled on his clothes and finally watch him leave the room. Daiki closes his eyes, pulls the cover over him then buried his face in the pillows, leaving a patch of wetness on it before finally drifting off to a dreamless sleep.
It was one of those nights where he could sleep peacefully, without any dreams haunting him and he even felt fresh when he woke up, Daiki wondered if it was the effect of being too tired. He turned to his left and smiles as he felt the warm ray of the sun greets his face. Somehow, despite of being aware of the fact that he was in someplace unknown, he couldn’t help but felt that this day would somehow be better than any other day.
Stretching his arms, Daiki then sat up and kicked the covers before jumping down from the bed and walked to the wooden table where his breakfast was laid for him. It was a bowl of porridge with hard boil egg and a cup of hot tea. Beside it was a note and a set of clothes.
“You didn’t finish the bread yesterday, so I thought maybe you will like porridge better than bread ^^”
Daiki tilted his head and read the note once more, he was sure that the handwriting was different from the one on yesterday’s note. Shrugging, he put down the piece of paper and took the clothes before heading towards the bathroom.
It was one and a half hour later when Daiki finally decided to leave the room, taking the tray of empty bowl and cup. He had been waiting inside, prancing around, sighing and even get tempted enough to start squealing as he rolls around the bed with the covers wrapped around him. And when no one came to the room at all, he finally decided to get out, maybe Takaki didn’t want to fuck him 24/7 like he had feared.
Daiki carefully walked down the big spiral stairs with the tray in his hands, his eyes darted around the house and he couldn’t help but felt awed by it. He hadn’t had the time to really look around yesterday or the day before, and now that he did, he realized that it was big. He was staring at the big chandelier in the middle of the hall when he stopped, the chandelier look all too familiar to him.
Standing in the middle of the stairway, Daiki started to scan the house once more, this time slowly and carefully. A wave of Déjà vu hits him when he could finally see the similarities of the house. True, it has changed a lot, yet there are corners and walls that told him clearly where he was. His heart started beating fast as his hands clenched on the silver tray, he doesn’t understand the meaning of all this. Was it just a mere coincidence?
“I was wondering when you will come down.” A voice broke his thoughts and Daiki blinks rapidly as he looks down to the edge of the stairs and saw a rather grumpy guy leaning on the railings.
“Thought I would have to drag you out of the bed and get you down here.” The boy said again.
“”I-I I’m sorry.” Daiki stammered and bit his lower lips. He wasn’t aware that he was giving troubles to others by waking up late and taking forever to get out of that room. Was Takaki waiting for him somewhere and he had this guy to fetch him? Or was this guy one of Takaki’s friend that was also going to….
A shudder ran through him as the frightening thought cross his minds. He wished that his thoughts weren’t true, just thinking of having to please many people really made him want to puke.
“Don’t scare him Hikaru!” Another voice spoke up. Daiki looks up and saw a tall pale young man walking towards the rather tan boy and gave him a whack on the head. “Look, he even turned pale now.”
The guy called Hikaru winced at the whacked before pouting. “You know I was just playing around.” He then looked up to where Daiki was and grinned. “Sorry if I scare you Kiddo, but you look like someone fun to be bullied.”
“Don’t mind him.” The pale guy walks up the stairs and swings his arms around Daiki, making him flinched at the stranger’s touch. “I’m Inoo Kei, and that weird one down there is Hikaru. We work in this house.”
Daiki stared dumbfounded at him before he manages to utter an ‘Uh’ and nods.
“Gosh, you are cuteee.” Inoo exclaimed all of a sudden before pinching Daiki’s right cheek. “no wonder Hikaru wants to bully you.” Daiki blinks and wasn’t sure of how he should react to that. Last time someone treated him like that was when he was ten.
“Look who’s the one scaring him out now.” Hikaru scoffed before giving a full grin and walks away. “Come on, we should tour him around this big and oh so magnificent house.”
****
Living there was actually fun. Well, he was just going to be there for a week, yet Daiki had never felt so happy for a long time. He felt free, free to do what he likes, to say what he wants and to laugh around freely despite of all the things the house reminded him to.
Hikaru and Inoo were fun to be around with and he always feels at ease with them though he had just known them for 2 days. They never asked where he came from or why was he there, maybe they knew, but never treated him differently like every other people would.
On the other hand, he still doesn’t know what to make out of Takaki, he doesn’t know much about him other than the fact that Takaki grew up at the same orphanage as Inoo and Hikaru. That night when Takaki brought him there was the last time he saw the tall guy. He never saw Takaki around the house in the day and though he had waited till late at night, Takaki never shows up. Daiki wonders what was the point of buying him for a whole week if he wasn’t going to do anything, not that he wishes for Takaki to fuck him every night. He has to admit though that Takaki is handsome and the sex was great. It was actually the first time he ever like doing it with a customer, and it kind of made him scared. There’s this thing about Takaki that he can’t help being drawn to, and he doesn’t know what it is and neither does he want it.
“”Do you know that Hikaru has been stealing your pocky while you are dazing off to cloud nine?” Inoo whispered in his ears and causes him to blink and look at the box of pocky in his hand. His eyes widened and his lips formed into a pout when he sees the box is nearly empty.
“Geez Inoo, you are evil.” Hikaru who sat on his other side, complained and gave the pale man a glare.
“HIKARUUU!!!!!” Daiki hollered and turned to face the older guy with his deadliest glare. “ MY POCKY!!!!”
“It’s… in my stomach.” Hikaru pointed to his stomach and grinned evilly “Get it if you can.”
“You bet I will.” That was the last warning before Daiki lunged at him and tackles him to the floor. “Out out out.” He starts poking and jabbing Hikaru’s stomach randomly while the other guy tried to roll away.
Inoo just sat there with a smile on his face as he watched Hikaru being tortured.
After ten whole minutes of strangling, cheeks pulling and rolling around on the floor, both boys finally let go as the collapsed on the cold marbled floor panting and sweating. “Man, you are pretty tough for a dwarf.” Hikaru chuckled.
“I’m not a dwarf, you clown.” Daiki said back , his eyes close as he steadied his breathing.
“Yuya, you are back.”
The mention of that name made Daiki’s eyes shot up at once, he turned to Inoo and followed the other guy’s gaze. For a few seconds, Daiki just stared at the tall figure leaning on the wall near them before scrambling up to his feet, only to find himself at a lost of what to do. Should he greet him?
But before he could utter a word, Takaki walked up to them and smiled at his friends. “Having fun without me?”
“You were gone, don’t blame us for not including you.” Groaned Hikaru as he tried to sit up, his back aching after all the wrestling he did “Dai-chan is surely tougher than I thought.”
“He is.” Takaki smiled again as he looks at Daiki who shifted away his eyes almost immediately.
“Let’s go.” Daiki felt Takaki took his arm and quietly follows.
He had expected that they would go to his room, so he was surprised when Takaki brought him to another room instead. Daiki looks around him and assumed that they were in Takaki’s room. It was plain and minimalist, just like every other place in the house. And like every other part of the house, he recognized the room, his heart clenched and he bit his lip unconsciously. He knew this room just too well that it felt like needles were stabbing into his heart.
A soft finger pressed on his lip, causing him to let go of his bite and looks up at the owner of the finger. Daiki found himself gazing into Takaki’s eyes as the other traced his finger on Daiki’s soft lips. He doesn’t know how long they stood there looking into each other’s eyes, but definitely long enough to make him feels out of breath. When he thought he would die of lack of oxygen as he was holding his breath, Takaki broke the gaze and walks away.
Daiki let out his breath and followed Takaki with his eyes. He expected Takaki to tell him to strip, or get on the bed or something, but Takaki merely goes to his desk and opens his laptop. After a minute of standing clueless in the middle of the room, Daiki decided to sit on the couch as he waited for Takaki to do something or tell him to do something.
But waiting quietly in the room was hard for him, it was too much. All of his memories came rushing back to him, making his chest tightened and his mind cloudy. He doesn’t want to be here, not in this room, it was just too painful.
He felt a hand brushes his cheeks and that was when he realized that he has been crying. Opening his mouth, Daiki tried to say something, but only a choked sob came out. He could only stares back at Takaki who was giving him a look which he couldn’t make out of as he clutches his knees tightly. Daiki stays still and shivered when Takaki’s fingers wiped away the tears on his face while he kept on looking at Takaki, letting himself drown in those eyes of his and wondered what the other was thinking.
Was it only his imagination, or was he too caught up in his own emotions that it looks like Takaki’s eyes have the same pain as his. It’s like as if Takaki was trying to tell him that he knew how he felt, that he could feel it too with his every breathe, the pain, the sufferings, the fight for a little hope that he has been coloring his days for years.
Does Takaki really knows how it feels? And if he did, will he be able to help him ease out those pain in his chest? Daiki felt his throat tightened and he could feel the tears threatening to flow out again. Maybe… just maybe, Takaki really knows how it feels, and maybe he knows how to let it go too.
And before he knew what he was doing, Daiki closed the small gap between them, crushing their lips together for the first time as he clutches Takaki’s collar and pulls him close. It wasn’t a sweet kiss, neither was it lust, Daiki doesn’t know why was he doing that either. He just wanted to do it, to be drown in something so deep that he could let go of this tightness in his chest.
He darted his tongue out, coaxing Takaki to open up for him, to kiss him back, to touch him, to make him forget. It took a while before Takaki opened his mouth and let Daiki invades him, he pulls the younger one closer and wraps the other’s leg around him, kissing him back with the same amount of needs and desperation.
When Daiki pulls back for air, he thought he would see Takaki smirking at him. But he wasn’t, and to be honest, Daiki doesn’t really care if the other is mocking him or not. At that moment, he just doesn’t want to care for anything. “Take me.” He said in a throaty whisper. And that was all it need for Takaki to carries him to bed.
