Taped Rush and some of the Rolling Stones from the SARStock DVD preview Saturday. They showed some of the “special features”, including a backstage interview with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson [which lasted all of ten seconds, but cool nonetheless, because it’s Rush

In any case hooray for Cheap Trick, speaking of which I was listening to Cheap Trick: Live At Budokan last night. That's a great one.

Yeah, they *are* good live. They opened for Aerosmith up here, but due to lack of funds I couldn't go. :(

Yes they are great live. I was going to go see them open for Aerosmith as well, but unfortunately it was a week after I saw Rush so I didn't have the money to go either, alas.

Ooh so there IS a full 10 seconds of Ged and Al on the extra features of the SARStock DVD? I didn't even bother watching that cuz I just had a feeling they wouldn't be featured...now I must sift through Justin Timberlake to look...
LOL that was such an awesome concert...it was such a fucked-up mix of bands and artists, but it was sooooo cool!! Freakin' Justin Timberlake, Rush and AC/DC all on the same bill. They'd never be ballsy enough to do ANYTHING like that in America.

Yeah, I know! You kind of wonder what the hell they were thinking, with the fact that Rush, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, etc. are not bands most Justin Timberlake fans like, and vice versa. Even poppier bands like Blue Rodeo have more in common with most of the playlist. [I kind of felt sorry for Justin, actually, not getting paid for playing there and still getting booed. Someone even threw a water bottle at him.] So you got the DVD? How many Rush songs made it on there?

I actually was surprised at Justin's performance...I don't even acknowledge that stuff at all, but he actually did really, really good. His solo stuff reminds me of old-school Stevie Wonder or something. :D
Nothing groundbreaking or awesome enough to send me flying into Justin Timberlake fanland, though...ew...the thought!

Haha, I have that problem too- I can barely remember what he said in the "interview" parts of RiR because of the pretty way his hair falls [not to mention the glasses]. And his shirt; I loved the shirt. Red and black is a hot combination. ;)
I liked Justin's thing with the Rolling Stones better than his own stuff, personally... although for a former boy band guy, he's a decent live performer. Indeed, his fanland is a scary place- if you ever happen upon a JT message board, you'll know what I mean. *shudder*
