leaving town, leaving it all behind

One week from right now, we’ll be driving to the east coast. (I hope we’ll have passed Kingston, by this time of the day.) I can’t believe we’re really about to leave. We’ll be gone until July 11th. When we get back, it will be almost the middle of the kids’ vacation, almost time for me to sign up for classes, almost time for school

Holy crap, I can't believe you'll be gone for that long! You do realize that's way too long, right? I mean, for us. You guys will be so missed. Seriously missed.
Since I'll be in school down the road come September, we should definitely meet in the middle.
