I had a fabulous weekend spending time with old friends and meeting some new ones. Lots of drinks on Friday night in New Orleans. Sail Boat, more drinks and trouble on Saturday. Ah, what to say about the sailboat. Let me start with saying, I showed to pick up you know who at his parents house at noon. He was supposed to be ready when I got there, but instead he was napping on the couch in a t-shirt and shorts. It took 3 of us (me, mom and dad) to get him dressed and ready to leave by 12:30. We arrive and have a couple of beers at Corky's. The other groomsmen show up for beers and then we head to the Sail Boat. We had already been cracking cop jokes and expected there to be this caravan of cops. You know some big display, but there was nothing like that. I did meet the Thomas' brothers and sister who were cracking jokes about how he's probably whereing his bullet proof vest and how at another family function he actually told them he had already shared too much information with them and if he told them any more he would have to kill them. We cracked up. I thought I was going to pee on myself. The bride's dad (a die hard cop himself) died last week and before he died he wrote this letter to be read
