Since the RDArmy sponsored me for NERE, I videotaped bits and pieces for Radio Dead Air. Here is the finished result:

Things I need to do today:

• Finally unpack boxes of stuff boxed up when the living room was painted months ago
• At least two loads of laundry
• One load of dishes
• Clean bathroom
• Vaccuum entire condo
• Grocery shop

Things I have actually done today:

• Slept til noon
• Surfed internet

Even on a normal day I spend way too much time watching CNN. It's sort of my default setting - nothing on TV, toss on CNN. If I'm away for a few days and miss Anderson Cooper or seeing any news I feel discombobulated and disconnected, like I'm less a part of the world if I don't have constant information on what's happening in it ( Read more... )

One of my co-workers put blue streaks in my hair for me yesterday. We had tried purple, but my hair said, "FUCK YOU, I'M RED!" and only soaked up the red dye which resulted in sort of a plummy color with no contrast to my natural hair. It occurs to me that all the LJ icons I have of my actual face are horribly out of date. Some of them I like anyway, but I should probably update the rest at some point.

Snowpocalypse 2: Fluffy White Boogaloo has hit, and hit HARD. Danbury is currently under about two feet of snow. I'm told the roads are clear, but my store is staying closed today anyway since everyone except me and one other employee is plowed in or stuck in their driveways. The Westboro Baptist Church is planning to protest at the funerals of the shooting vistims in Tucson, specifically the funeral of 9-year old Christina Green. The AZ legislature is looking to legally bar them, which is (if you ask me, which no one did) the wrong way to go ( Read more... )
