So, I got an e-mail today from one of my friends. She knew from waaaaayyyyy back that we were cutting the guest list to only include dates for people who were engaged or living together. Give a little background - I've been working with this girl for five years at the same school. We've been teaching on the same team for four years. That means

Ugh how frustrating, I'm sorry you have to go through it. Just keep remembering the wedding is just a day you have to get through to get to the marriage, which is the rest of your life. So breathe..you are almost there!

Hey, mom was asking me last night what you guys decided on about Chris' two year old niece and her being the flower girl?

She's only going to be 18 months old (actually exactly) on the day of our wedding. We're going to dress her up pretty and hope for the best. She'll be in pictures (that seems to be important to him) but if she doesn't make it down the aisle no biggie. We have another flower girl and ring bearer that are of a more appropriate age.

BTW - you're not offended that I didn't ask you to have your kids in the wedding are you? It's not that I didn't want them, I just didn't want to add to your stress financially - it would mean an extra night at the hotel plus special clothes - etc. Argh! Now I really wish we had eloped. :(

Hell no. We live way too far away to make it feasible. If we were neighbors I'd get upset... but we're not so that's life. I understand completely!
