what kind of cake is that and what kind of frosting? i'm just trying to figure out what fondant is.

It's a regular (sponge?) cake with buttercream frosting (smoothed waaaayyy out) and either raspberry mousse or buttercream filling - yummy!!! The top layer is frozen upstairs waiting for us one year from now. Who knows how it will taste?? Chris' brother's cake tasted awesome (from the same place) but friends who got theirs at the same place said it was awful on their one year! I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

BTW - fondant is that thick, moldable frosting that's ubber smooth . . . doesn't always taste good though, depends on how they make it.

Aw you make a beautiful bride. And you are absolutely right the mishaps are really no big deal and give you something to tell the kids about. Like you know, the wedding is a day, the marriage is a lifetime :) Congrats again!

Thank you so much! That's what they kept telling us on our engaged encounter - Chris really took it to heart. He was so good whenever I was having one of my wedding freak out moments. I love your new icon! :)
