Mindful Thinking was an interesting book. Read it a while back when things were 'tough' and it was useful in helping me find a bit of interest in even the most mundane of things.

For me lately, I've been finding happiness in the bus trip home. Normally full of twunts, my mind is now occupied. Why? They've begun using double-deckers again on our route. This thrills me to no end cos I get to sit on the top deck and enjoy a most fantastic view... Simple things... :O)

As annoying and unreliable as the bus can be here in Southern California, I do sometimes miss the hour I used to have to spend on the bus in the early morning to get to work, before I had my first car. It was a time I could let my mind wander. I could look at the neighborhoods we passed through, imagining what it would be like to belong there. I would think of what I needed to do for the future, and make up stories about the other passengers for my own amusement. Yes, I do still miss that, sometimes.

Aye. It is especially nice for me as we go by Wollaton Hall, which is a 400+ year old (now) museum and 500 acre deer park... Absolutely gorgeous!!!
