Fly

Does anyone know what it really means to dream about flying? I swear besides the dismembering serial killer dream I had last night, all of my dreams lately have involved me flying around. It's all very lucid, too. I know I can do it, and I choose to do it.

I always thought it meant you were sexually frustrated.

The short version is that I got into an argument with my roommate and unjustly took it out on his girlfriend, although at the time I didn't even feel like it was an argument. Or perhaps it was an argument, but I didn't think I was angry. I guess I raised my voice a little. Stupidly enough, the conflict was caused by the fact that they were trying to motivate me to hit on a girl who was obviously interested in me. I don't like coercion, and he was getting on my nerves. The roommate's girlfriend is as sweet as can be and has never been anything but completely thoughtful and considerate toward me. I doubt she'll ever be completely comfortable around me again. Once he got me alone he proffered an ultimatum along the lines of "I'm only going to say this once. Say what you will to me, but..."

So I don't think it's about sexual frustration, but there are several generic reasons behind flying dreams. Enjoy!

I've never had the flying one and I don't know what its supposed to mean, but there's a lot of books about dreams. unfortunately many of them seem to be bullshit.

its weird how certain dreams are so common. Like flying, falling, and teeth falling out. I have the teeth one pretty often, although not as much as i used to. I haven't really remembered too many of any dreams recently. my most common and most dreadful dreams are the ones where something bad is happening, but i can't move, cry out, or hardly even speak...

Yeah I think so too. I always have the teeth falling out one, too. Hell I think it's weird that people dream at all, let alone all the weird shit that we dream about.

I like the flying one though. It's like at some point in my dream I remember I can do it, so I start flying. Sometimes I do it to show off, get away ect.
