That was great! Bittersweet, but lovely.

I always had a pet theory that Wilson only would break his relationships' patterns once he's the one making the first move. I'm so glad House has reached the same diagnosis - though I strongly disagree with him about Wilson's lack of cuteness and charm! I'm quite sure Wilson will make that first move. Eventually. ;-)

I've always had a similar thought -- hence this story ;)

I don't think House meant it about Wilson no longer be cute or charming. I think he was just trying to piss him off into taking action :)

Brilliant! What a Valentine's Day treat. The things said and unsaid were both awesome. The ending kind of dashed my hopes for a sequel, but I convinced myself House can't know everything or see into the future. ;-)

Thanks so much :) I may do a sequel, since everyone's so bummed by this one, lol. Actually, I had an idea of a possible sequel before I even posted this. I just wanted to end this in a way that it could be a stand-alone, too.

This was very well done, and left me quite sad. I'd love to see a follow-up fic at the end of the ten days.

I'm sorry this one is such a downer :( I like (in an angsty way) the idea of them being so close but afraid to take the ultimate plunge. But like I said to some other peeps above, I may do a sequel to see how this new ten-day challenge plays out :)

Yes, this was a sad little story, but so true. The characters were spot-on. And as others have said the HW/fainting goats metaphor was marvelously clever.

Sequel, please!
