Oncologists' grief

A short research article I just read (for work) on how grief over patients affects oncologists' personal/professional lives ... For those interested in that sort of thing ; )

Excellent article. The oncologist's comments were devastating to read. I hadn't thought of some of the scenarios, like the treatment of a previous patient impacting the next.

Of course, I thought of Wilson who is an extraordinarily caring friend to House. And I smiled when I read, "Everybody dies."

Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome! I thought it might be a useful resource for some of you fic writers, esp of the sick!Wilson variety (hint).

Is it bad that when I write about cancer-related topics, my mind often floats toward a fictional oncologist? ;)

What a fascinating study. I'd have loved to see the breakdown in reactions by years in the field. I hope they do a follow-up study with a larger sample size. Thank you SO much for posting.
