House readied for a lamp to come sailing his way. Wilson did like to throw shit.

How Wilson resists the impulse I'll never know. Although I do have the feeling that he secretly enjoys House's 'honest' remarks around strangers - things that he can never say himself. Sometimes anyway.

House did have to marvel at Wilson’s ability to engage in a politically charged back-and-forth and still have the other person end up liking him. That was not a part of House’s particular skill set. - LOl - understatement of the century:)

Another great installment! Poor House, he's suffering all this and he hasn't even gotten laid yet :)

Definitely.

I feel bad for House in this one, even though I'm the one doing this to him ;)

Thanks for reading!

It's agonizing watching House try to blow this whole thing up, and at the same time try not to, and not understand a damn thing he's doing. As though a part of him is trying to fuck it all up because at least broken-and-fucked-up is familiar, it's what he understands. He may not want to piss Wilson off or push him away but he can't seem to help it and I suppose he doesn't want to ask himself why.

Wilson's method of fighting back is surprising but feels right for him, the sneaky bastard. He's going to win; he generally does. <3

I'm so glad the 'agonizing' part came through all the silliness. I think whenever House feels content, a part of him won't trust it and will try to revert back to broken-and-fucked-up -- because, like you said, it's familiar.

I'm not sure what Wilson's up to. He's got his own brand of fucked-up-ness ;)

Thanks for reading/commenting!

Ahahahaha, I am enjoying this so much. House is so in-character in this chapter. I would quote favorite lines, but that would be most of them. The opening scene was especially awful/wonderful. And this just about sums it up:

Once the Pleasantons were out of earshot, Wilson blew out a breath. “Wow. I nearly had a full conversation before you chased them away.”

“I was busy eating,” House explained.

Too many funny lines to quote, but really, Wilson is totally evil taking House to the Amish country. Very much enjoying this story.

...he’d been too busy wondering how he could get Wilson to talk to him again-though he’d actually expressed that concern by watching a 1,000 Ways to Die marathon on Spike.--This. Is. So. House. ♥

Your story is a true Thanksgiving Day treat. I'm salivating for more.

Yes, what you said. I mean, this whole thing is painfully true to House's nature, but that line in particular. It perfectly captures his self-destructive inability/unwillingness to be, well ... less like he is.

But Wilson seems to understand who he married. Sure, he's frustrated and some of this shit has to hurt him, but he's also apparently decided how to deal with the problem: he's going to keep pushing at it (by booking freaking carriage rides OMG Wilson you nut) until House gets exasperated enough to just let out whatever it is that's roiling around in there.

Now, I wonder where Wilson could have learned that tactic ...

(edited to fix previous edit fail, whoops)

Absolutely! I can't define it exactly. Wilson is secure in his relationship in kind of a Ricky Ricardo way. Not sure whether he or House will snap first, but that's the fun in anticipating the next chapter. I bow to Sassy's judgement.

This. Is. So. House.

Heh. Thanks! I could just so easily picture him doing that.

Thank you for reading!
