It never hurts to find out. You're not losing anything by talking to them and you have the upper hand here...you are not unemployed. AJ probably feels that they need to be whipped into shape and you're the one to do it.

Make sure they know that you need flex time, due to the increase in commute time...it's a non-negotiable, along with the ability to leave as needed for your child.

Make sure the job is more than just scheduling.

To reiterate: nothing to lose, you have the upper hand.

Of course change sux ass big time! But as long as everyone around supports you (which we all do, & besides, who knows better the crap you put up with where you are now) it may be good for you.

Flex time? Would that be like working later on the back end of the day if you arrive late?

Flex time is (generally in HR) setting your own hours.

i doubt that they will only use you for scheduling (even tho i personally dont know what that means) :) Plus... its NEWPORT!

you had me at "SALARY CAP" ... as my dad says... get as much money out of company that you can and get out :)

yes he is :) problem is my company just keeps throwing money at me... so no matter how much i hate comeing to work... it is so worth it in the end :) HEHEH
