My colt is going in for surgery today. I'm nervous. I have never had any animal of mine that had to have surgery done. It's really not a big deal, I'm just paranoid.
When my older dog developed a tumor last year, he had to go in for major invasive surgery. Never before have I had to leave him alone with the vet, never mind alone at a strange specialty surgical center. I was terrified, for him and about him. In the end, he was just fine, survived surgery, reovered well and is still around over 14 months later, not bad for an old timer. It is so hard with an animal. My thoughts are with you and your colt.
