I knew I loved history but this is ridiculous. Again, I have preordered the latest book in the series by Lauren Willig. Who knew I would like Napoleonic spies so much? The literary tool of mixing the past with the present keeps the reading fresh and entertaining, often requiring the reader to go back and refresh where he last was in the past or

Are these historically themed fiction? What sort of fiction, mystery for example? If I know, then maybe I can pass along some of my favorite books of this genre.
And if you like books on history in general (non fiction) what are your favorite time periods or subjects? Again, perhaps I can pass along some goodies for you.
