Went to McConnell Mansion, lots of cool Victorian furnishings and local history. Loved the gift shop. Docent didn't show up so very nice lady gave us the tour; she is still learning all the stories they share with visitors. Nearby was the old highschool, now being renovated as the 1912 Center. Tried to go to McConnell mansion but website didn't mention being closed on Mondays. Hmmm. Went to Appaloosa Museum, well done with horse and Indian exhibits. Shopped for souvenirs.
