Tucking his phone into his back pocket, Karl looked up at all the people with cameras and mini-recorders still waiting for him -- a fraction of what there'd been to start off with, but still a fair number -- and gave a little sigh.

Zach left Karl the details, a nicer restaurant that hopefully Mr. Shatner would be okay with. He sent a similar text to Mr. Shatner, gratful Leonard had mentioned that 'Bill, he knows how to work these things'.
It was puzzling though, that he would want to come to dinner. Maybe Leonard had convinced Mr. Shatner to join them?
Who knew.
He was tempted to call home and check up on Noah, giving a somewhat stupid smile as he thought about just who was at home watching his dog, then laid back on the bed and waited for Karl to be done.

Thankfully, the paparazzi seemed to have dispersed by the time they'd finished and said their goodbyes -- Mr. Shatner went his own way, and Karl and Zach managed to quickly hail a cab before anybody spotted them. It was a quick trip back, with Karl yawning from the food and the wine and the long day all the while.

He thought about it. "Do you have a panel tomorrow?" He couldn't remember the schedule exactly.
