time for a run, boy

There was something that Zach was neglecting, and its tail was wagging as it stared up at him. "Come on, Noah. I heard there's a place we can go running, even if it isn't downtown." He reached down and scratched Noah behind the ears, hooked up the leash he managed to rig up from the replicators, and took they both went down to the gym.

It felt good to see Noah so excited. Zach missed his morning and evening walks with Noah, and if this was the best they could manage than so be it. Hopefully, they wouldn't be disturbing anyone with a jog around the track Chris mentioned.

It was bigger than he expected, and mostly empty. "Come on, Noah! Who wants to go for a run?" Zach grinned, knowing just how much it stirred Noah up.

Zach jogged to keep up with Noah, who seemed ready to sniff every inch of the track. He spotted several amused smiles at Noah's antics, and of course a few ladies came over to pay their respects to the most handsome dog in the room. He was still grateful that Noah ended up with Jim that day, because the idea of being apart any longer than necessary just plain sucked.
