You know, I was looking for a new host and now I'm completely unsure if I should do so o_0 ( Read more... )

I would suggest finding a new host. They didn't do anything about the hack and it seems like nobody but their complaints department is able to even do anything useful.

That is genuinely nice of them but I'll have to agree with Kartos and suggest looking for a new host. Would your site be any more secure now on their servers than before for example? I'm not saying buy based on security alone but obviously it's an important issue in your situation :).

Actually they did enact some new things after the hack because apparently I wasn't the only site that got hit by those bastards that was hosted by them. I'm just confused because to be completely honest, I don't know of a host that has had the same amount of up time and speed that mine has had consistently for 3 years now. Even further, most of the recommendations I have gotten are "just go to GoDaddy" and I would rather shoot myself in a vital organ than use that company. I won't go into details, but yeah, just know my feelings are that strong.

I am going to look around though and read some reviews and see what I can find. I will have to see what I find and go from there. I do not want to end up paying a higher price for a lower package than what I have now, nor do I want to end up with what several friends have ended up with in having a host that starts out good and goes down the drain in 6 months... Onward to reading reviews.

What kind of site is it? I use Rydia.net and while it's only a few people running it, they cater to artists (like not being stringent about when you pay!) My friend also knows the owners... lol

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately they are very high priced for what you get through there and I have to have a server that I can host a business through since that is what I use mine for mostly as well as host other people on.

I am super picky.... I can't help it. I guess for the few things that I have had to deal with in the last few years that I have been with 1and1 seem small compared to the price I would have to pay through other hosts and get a lot less. I don't have a problem with payments either just this last incident kinda threw me since I had thought the package was canceled a long time ago.
