Although I have a general disdain for Christianity and organized religion as a whole, I find myself dating hardcore Christians again and again. While it might be fun at first, these relationships inevitably end over differences in "core values". That's christ-speak for "you don't believe in jesus". I don't know why I keep falling into

i think satan is a cynic. i don't think it's that rare to find unconditional love in relationships. unconditional love doesn't mean that we like everything about the person or that we don't all in some ways help each other to change and grow. i think unconditional love means that there aren't conditions to our love - opposite of "if you don't do such and such, i don't love you and i'll leave you". unconditional love just means that there is a commitment to working things through to the best of our ability. i think many of us give unconditional love to our friends. we don't expect our friends to be perfect, we might even hate certain tendencies they have, but we love them just the same and most of the time, stick by them. i have been blessed to have unconditional love from some friends that even though i may have f-ed up, they still were willing to work things through with me through thick and thin.
