Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2009 (in my case I have taken the first non-fic entry for each month).
Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."

But because we could only use the first line of the first entry for each month I think it failed in being a proper reflector for the year, don't you.
It completely fails to capture the defining and devastating impact that CoE had on our fannish lives because that happened just after the month started. I was tempted to bend the rules a little because there were two months for me where the second entry was much more relevant. But I didn't. Sigh.
