So i was watching tv today and this new band calles Kinky describes themselves as eloctronic latin orgasmic fused. What the fuck does that mean..oh well. I am so mad about my paycheck. The Government and FICA took 63% out of my paycheck...I caleed some people and they said on average it should be 18-20 percent. Whatever. I was sick as shit

I've found that in most jobs I lose approximately 33% of my money. That might be a little high though considering usually 10% or so goes toward state retirement.

Anywhere between 25-35% is about right.

Think of this...in Maryland, we pay federal, state, AND local (county/city) taxes. Gees.

The upside of this is that the roads in the county are great and always well maintained, sanitation service isn't billed directly, and teachers (at least in Frederick County) are relatively well paid (and various other sundry plusses).

The downside is that a whole boatload of that tax money (esp. state)gets appropriated almost in direct proportion to a city/county's proximity to the DC Metro area. So, just to be arbitrary, we see x amount of dollars in Frederick while Bethesda or Chevy Chase (both in Montgomery county adjacent to the District) might get 2x.

Bummer.
