Back from the Dead!

Dear Lurians.

It’s been so long since I last gave a sign of life on this journal and I am terribly sorry for that. I finally wanted to let you know that I’m back and intend to be much more active in our Lure community. And I really really want to finish my story “Fall of Reason”.
I’m so frustrated that I couldn’t write for so long and also angry with myself that I didn’t really keep you in the loop about my whereabouts since I originally planned to start writing again in May. But I was still under so much stress and pressure from my film. I only logged into live journal or LRO once in a while to check if it was still active...like I was afraid that it would suddenly disappear. So stupid I know but things were getting quiet around Lure before so I always needed to check up on you all. And now you’re all still here. I’m so glad! ;-)
I need to keep up with so many things. I haven’t read one Lure fic in the past 8 months and I’m so looking forward to find out what you’ve been creating in all that time.
My graduation film however was the toughest thing I’ve ever done in my life. And even if right now I’m pretty content with the outcome of it all, back then NOTHING ever went as planned.
Especially not the film shooting. With all those restrictions we had, we couldn’t complete all of it in May. A lot of things went wrong and we had to go to a lot of trouble for another shooting in July. The postproduction afterwards hasn’t been easy either but I eventually had the editing and color grading finished by September when I had my final exam. So I finally graduated (YEAHH!) in September and thought that afterwards I would have “all the time in the world” to finish the rest of the film (like music and sound and two pick up shootings). With no stress at all. But then I got sick and I could hardly leave the bed for weeks. After running tests, my doctor found like three different bacteria cultures in my organism. I must have neglected a cold or something. My lung was also affected so I had to get an antibiotic treatment. I was in a really bad place. Also emotionally. But apart from the sickness, I probably had like a small burn out syndrome as well with all that stress from the past 6 months…
But this is all over now and I feel a lot better. :) The rest of the postproduction is finally running smoothly so I’m willing to allow myself to return to my writing again. I’m gonna start with the next “Fall of Reason” chapter very soon and maybe even participate in the Yule Challenge. I’m so glad to be back and look forward to all the great stories and fan arts I must have missed in all these months.

Big hugs & kisses to you all.

Love. :-*
