If anybody was watching football tonight... My New England Patriots fought hard and we got so close... but we lost it in the end. I could almost taste that AFC championship title :( The Colts played well, though, as much as I hate to admit it. Here's to next year - we'll get that 4th Superbowl ring yet!

Nothing to do with football, but I was looking at some past entries in 10thdoctor and there are requests for downloads of copyrighted material. I don't know if it's an LJ rule, but I've heard that communities have been shut down for sharing copyrighted stuff. There's nothing in the community rules about it, but I thought maybe you might want to add a rule to f-lock posts regarding filesharing-type stuff?

Thanks for the heads-up ... I added a brief, semi-vague rule to the list that should cover this pretty well in the future (assuming people actually read the rules). You're more than welcome to advise people to friends-lock their posts if you ever see any like that. Thanks again!!

Hi there

I read the rules on your community and realise I can't just write up a pimping post.

My friend and I started a new community called 10captions. We want to take pictures of the doctor and give them humourous captions.

Would you mind if we write something up in your comm?

So I'm not exactly a fan of the Patriots (I'm just dropping by to ask permission to pimp a comm on 10thdoctor), but I hope that living in Boston kinda counts. :P

goldy-dollar and I are running a Ten/Inara Doctor Who/Firefly crossover ficathon at sonic-tea, and we'd love to let the 10thdoctor members know about it. Can we pimp, or is that too OT?

Hi! Thanks so much for asking first... since your ficathon is actually being held at another community, I don't mind the fact that it's OT. Go ahead and post. As far as the community rules for 10thdoctor go, I just wouldn't want a whole OT ficathon to be posted directly on the community. Thanks again!

Okay, thanks!! Both you and blaidd_wolf (who is now going by the name dleighc) have said that you are interested in managing the community, so I told her that I think the best course of action is for the both of you to discuss how you want to handle things. Maybe you could split up the duties (on one week, off another) or something like that. ;)
