That's so nice that you took your dad down there. I think I'd like to hang out at the beach for all eternity.

I don't want to be morbid or anything, but do you need to have a permit or some sort of permission to scatter ashes in a public place? I have always wondered about that.

I know you need like the permission of the president or something if you want to bury a person at sea. But I don't think ashes.

Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) died at sea, but they still had to get crazy permission from president to bury him there. Luckily, the president at the time loved the Beach Boys.
