Don't have much to say... but here is chapter one. :)

Chapter One
The Dark Forest and the Blade

"Hunter, step forth," echoed the voice of the Queen.  It was now or never.  This is the only way she could completely dispose of that wretched Yasu; that Snow White.  "This is what I want you to do," she began to tell the hunter.  "I want you to take Yasu to the dark forest outside of the castle walls, take this knife, and thrust it into her chest.  Make sure is dead."  She took out a box and opened it up.  Inside shone the long, silver blade that the queen wished for the hunter to kill Yasu with.  The blade was recently sharpened, the hunter could see, to the point that even if you pricked your finger on the point, you would bleed incesently.
The hunter bowed to the queen, and took the knife.  "As you wish, your highness," he said, a bit sorrowful for this tasking being placed upon him.  He stood up, turned around, and walked towards the exit until the queen told him one more thing:
"Oh, and as proof that you have successfully killed Yasu, bring me back her heart in the box."
The hunter was silent at first, but then he was able to let out a soft, "Yes, your highness."
The next day, the hunter met Yasu out in the courtyard, where she spent her days performing mindless chores.  He walked up to her, quickly feeling some guilt creep in, and placed his hand on her shoulder to get her attention.  "Your step-mother has asked me to take you to the woods next to the castle.  To... to..." he had to think of a reason.  "To show you a proper technique to hunting."  Yasu was a bit confused at what the hunter had said, but went with him, unreluctantly.
"Certainly, I will go with you."
The two of them, the hunter and Yasu, went into the woods.  They walked for hours, and as they walked, the woods seemed to become darker and darker.  The hunter glanced over at Yasu, and then finally said, "Let us take a rest here."
"Good idea," replied Yasu, sitting down next to the nearest tree.  "All this walking has made me tired!"  Although these were the words that came out of Yasu's mouth, the hunter saw nothing by a smile on her face the whole time, as if she was enjoying the walk.
The hunter's hand, shaking, took out the long blade.  He stared at the blade for a few minutes before reluctantly raising it in the air.  As he stood there, ready to plunge the blade into the heart of Yasu, guilt suddenly overcome him.  "I can't do this!" he screamed as he threw the knife to the ground.
Yasu, startled by the sudden yelling of the huntsman, turned to look at him, and saw the blade by his feet.  "What is that!?" he asked, shocked.
"The queen," the hunter began, "she ordered me to bring you to the forest and to kill you with this blade.  But I cannot do it.  You are too innocent!"  Then all was quiet, for a while.  Until the hunter began to speak again, "Go.. go!  Run away from here!  Far away from here!"
Yasu did as he was told, and ran.  And ran.  And ran.  Farther into the deep, dark forest.
Meanwhile, the hunter found a deer, killed it, and cut out its heart.  With this, he could go back to the queen, give her the heart of the deer and not feel guilty about killing Yasu.  He left the dark forest and returned to the castle where he presented the box with the heart of the dead animal to the queen.
"Very good.  Well done, huntsman.  Now, I shall be the fairest of them all!"
Later that night, the queen looked into her magical mirror and asked, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest one of all?"
"Not you," replied the mirror, "for Snow White, Yasu, lives.  The heart that the hunter gave you was that of an animal, and not that of Snow White's."
When the queen heard this, she became enraged.  She started to throw everything onto the ground, smashing anything she could get her hands on.  The hunter had lied to her, and she was foolish enough to believe that the heart in the box belonged to that of the wretched girl.  And at that moment, as the queen sulked in the castle, Yasu was coming upon a small cottage in the middle of the forest...

Note: Personally, I'd never go into a dark forest, alone with some guy... :)  I can't wait to introduce the "seven deadly dwarves" next chapter either.  I can just imagine Subaru and Yoko now!
