Ok I just needed to rant quickly. LOL. I figure this has no place in my art journal, so its probably best to be professional and keep it to this journal instead

i like panhandlers better than beggars. mostly because they are doing something to earn money/food/whatever. if someone is begging me for money and not doing anything i just keep on walking.
you should start only giving money/food/whatever to one person a day. that way you can still help someone but you cant give something to everyone, y'know?
i can understand how you hate it because it would get annoying for others to ask you for money, especially when you are trying to sell stuff yourself. :/
I was just pissed that dude came and asked us at our HOUSE. wtf.
Downtown is one thing. I get that. they are everywhere. that's fine. But jeeze. don't come ask me at my house in my little neighborehood where I live ugh.
They're getting really bad in Halifax. Yesterday while I was at work, a woman came to the desk and complained that as she was parking her car, a dude stuck his head in the car window and asked for a $20 bill. Not even change. A fucking twenty.
ugh yeah you're probably right! He probably did live really close by. I was so annoyed that he was approaching us at our house for the specific reasons you mentioned, about coming back, or breaking in.
And I agree about the addiction thing. Thats why I'll only give change if people are playing music, or doing some sort of service because then atleast they are actually doing something other than demanding money. But if people come up and ask for change, I won't give it to them. If they word it that they want change for food, or bus tickets, then if I have anything on me I'll actually give it to them. Actually I use to carry around fruit for that very purpose, to give to them. Use to piss some of them off so much!
The one and only time I was in London somebody tried to buy drugs from me, and then got pissed off when I didn't have any and insulted the people I was with.
wow, that's some messed up shit (including above comments)
And you know what's just about as bad as beggers/panhandlers? Those damn mormons/greenpeace/amnesty international fucktards who harrass you on the streets. I mean, friggin! I was on my way to work one day when a mormon tried to get me to join his cult.. Now religion is not my thing in general, but if I was going to go all jesus freak, I highly doubt mormonism would be my church of choice! And I've heard about all these things anyway. If I was interested, I'd look them up online. Now let me get to work so I can pay my bills, you bastards!
omg yes! The mormons have been out in packs around here. I had a few approach me that week while I was out selling also. They just don't know when no means no. And always get you at the worst possible time :/
