There are times when you are just amazed on how much you give to people...

And how little you get back...

And through it all...

You still keep giving...

and keep hoping...

to get something more...

or something thoughtful...

or just to be disappointed again...

I think that one has to keep giving...

For the hope that the other person will accept the gift and find some use in it...

Then, even if you get little back, you can still feel as though you've given something valuable...

Wisp here has a point but sometimes, the gift can be lost on someone. Keep in mind the saying "Pearls before swine."

And watch you who give too. Generosity is good but giving to yourself before anyone else is actually healthy to do on some things.

That is a lesson taken from those who practice the Black path of Magick for the betterment of themselves. Saw the essay on Witch's Voice a few months ago.

I should add that the person who wrote the essay made clear that they nevered used it to harm or take what wasn't theirs. They still hold to the rede.
